♪ [audience applauding] John: Thank you so much.
Thank you.
We'll be right back.
John: This venue is so special.
This is only my second time playing here.
I have vivid memories of the first time I played here.
It has a special vibe, I think, because of Paul, but also because of the building, you know, the fact that it used to be a church.
So people came here to worship and to be in a spiritual mindset.
I think that's still here a little bit for the music.
And to look and see that beautiful stained glass and the high ceiling, it's just fabulous.
I look forward to coming back here many times.
We like to try to bring in songs with some lyrical content, a little bit maybe more lyrical content than some traditional bands do.
We want our songs to make people feel and think and maybe see things from a different perspective.
That's the thing that's really important to us and also to just leave people with a feeling that they've connected with us and maybe connected to the songwriters and to the lyrics and that there will be something that they'll take home and maybe keep for quite a while from the evening.
when all of the elements come together and magical moments happen, it doesn't happen all the time, but my intention for it is to happen every show.
There's so many elements have to be right.
The sound has to be right, all the players have to be in sync, have to be connected with the audience, and the atmosphere has to be right.
And when all those things come together, there's a little bit of a transcendent kind of a thing that happens, and I feel like everyone contributing to that gets to feel that.
You know, it's an elevated feeling.
It's really fabulous.
So that's probably my favorite thing about music, is when you hit those little spots.
You know, it just gives you tingles.
